Rangers have been decidedly coy as the media mind games begin amid a Covid-19 outbreak ahead of the first Old Firm derby of the season against Celtic.
The Gers are yet to release an official list of who has been affected by either Covid-19 positives or self-isolation as manager Steven Gerrard and six first-teamers failed to travel to Armenia.

James Tavernier, Calvin Bassey, Ryan Kent, Scott Wright, Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin are the players who did not travel.
Before the draw with Alashkert, Gary McAllister hinted that he was hoping some of those names would be back in the mix come Sunday’s Old Firm.
But now, news regarding a majorly influential player in these matches hints that the Gers might’ve been double bluffing regarding at least one of their key stars.
Ryan Kent is the main man on derby day in Glasgow and according to the ordinarily reputable Jordan Campbell, the winger was left behind as a precaution due to a hamstring niggle and not due to Covid-19 [Athletic].
Rangers assistant manager claimed after the Alashkert result that “four or five” names could be back in the squad for the weekend and Kent’s inclusion would be a major boost.
When discussing the club’s injury situation McAllister was once again coy on the club’s situation, claiming the Gers were “bolstered”.
What a buzz it’ll be for the fans inside the stadium if Kent is named on the teamsheet heading into the match against Celtic and fans will be hoping to see the player take to the field.
Kent has seven wins in eleven games against Celtic, scoring twice, assisting twice, and generally being an all-round nuisance as he emerges as the Parkhead club’s nemesis.
