Rangers are preparing to welcome Premier League Brighton to Ibrox this weekend – but their supporters have one major gripe ahead of the trip to Ibrox.

The Seagulls are sure to provide a stern test for the Steven Gerrard’s side and their supporters are invited to watch the match via RangersTV [Brighton].

There will be 8500 Rangers fans in the ground for the friendly with the match set to kick off at 5.30pm in Glasgow.

However there will be no away fans for the game in something which will be bitterly disappointing to plenty of fans who’d like to make the trip.

But it’s not the lockout which has some Brighton fans complaining as plenty rail against the £7.49 RTV is charging to watch the pre-season friendly.

Despite being in the megabucks Premier League where season tickets, matchday supplies and merchandise is super inflated, Brighton fans do have a gripe paying the fee:

It’s a pretty scathing response from the Brighton fans who appear more than a little entitled by the upcoming friendly match.

Rangers are obviously trying to maximise revenues from the game and £7.49 is about the price of one and a half pints in the southern English seaside town.

Brighton fans might not be happy at having to shell out for the friendly but at least if they do they’ll get coverage from the one and only Clive Tyldesley, who’ll be returning to the Rangers gantry this weekend.

If Brighton fans think £7.50 is bad too then they should’ve experienced Scotland last season during the pandemic, where fans were regularly held to ransom over coverage.
