Rangers have confirmed the TV details for Sunday’s League Cup fixture against Falkirk [Rangers.co.uk].

The Gers are entering the competition at the last 16 stage after benefitting from a bye for the group stages due to their involvement in European competition.

They take a 22-match unbeaten run into the tie and are looking to go all the way this season after losing out to Celtic in last season’s final.

Falkirk will be no pushovers on their own artificial patch, though.

The Bairns reached this stage by finishing second in Group E behind Dunfermline with nine points from four matches, while they’re currently unbeaten in League One and top of the table.

Rangers shared an update on Friday afternoon which confirmed that coverage is set to start at 4.30 pm, half an hour before the scheduled kick-off time.

Unlike with RangersTV broadcasts, information has not been provided regarding the host, pundits and commentators on duty for the tie at the Falkirk stadium.

Premier Sports showed Rangers’ Europa League qualifier against Lincoln Red Imps in September but were pressed into an apology after technical issues impacted the broadcast.

In the midst of a packed schedule, the game represents an opportunity for Steven Gerrard to hand playing time to fringe men, many of whom will be looking to put their hand up for selection for higher-profile matches over the coming weeks and months.
