On Wednesday afternoon, five Rangers players started for Scotland U19s in a 3-1 win over Turkey. Two more were named on the bench.
It was Zak Rudden who impressed the most.
He’s scored ten goals whilst on loan at Falkirk this season and looks a natural finisher. He scored the opening goal on Wednesday, setting the course for an important win.
It was the first of three Elite Round qualification matches. The prize – a place in the Uefa Under-19 European Championships for only the second time ever.
Therefore, there’s no time to dwell on Wednesday’s triumph.
Next up are Cyprus, this afternoon, in a 3 pm kick-off.

After the last result, you would imagine Head Coach, Billy Stark, won’t want to tinker with the lineup too much.
Therefore, Jordan Houston, Lewis Mayo, Glenn Middleton, Dapo Mebude and Rudden could all start again.
Matthew Shiels and Stephen Kelly were substitutes last time and will be hopeful of sneaking into the XI.
A win would leave Scotland in an excellent position, with one game left to play.
