The return of midfielder Ryan Jack to the Rangers squad has been a major boost for the club as of late and Scotland’s World Cup charge could also feel the benefit.

The talented box-to-box star, 29, missed the best of a year overcoming a series of injuries and then surgery on a troublesome calf problem.

Before the issues arose, Ryan Jack had taken sizeable strides in his development and was emerging as a key player for both Rangers and the Scotland national team.

Not only did the injury problems cut short Ryan Jack’s involvement in that legendary 55 winning season, but it also meant the midfielder missed the European Championships in the summer.

Rangers’ Ryan Jack can help boost Scotland World Cup dream

With plenty of making up to do, it’s been a rampant return to the Rangers set-up and the Ibrox side look a different team with a fully fit Ryan Jack in the squad.

The midfielder’s impact is evident and Jacko can go on to have a similar role with the Scotland national team as they look to reach the World Cup in Qatar.

After a successful campaign in qualifying for Euro 2020 – the nation’s first major tournament in 22 years – all eyes are now fixed on Scotland reaching their first World Cup since France 1998.

Steve Clarke’s side are in with a shout and are preparing for the Playoffs with the first match taking place against Ukraine at Hampden on March 24th.

If Scotland can get past the Ukrainians then they will face either Austria or Wales just days later for a place at the tournament.

As his form with Rangers has proven, Scotland stand a much better chance with 10-times capped Ryan Jack involved in some capacity.

Meanwhile, some Rangers fans have been questioning the club’s January transfer business after an injury to one of the Ibrox side’s latest signings.
