Late on Sunday, it emerged that Ryan Jack was heading back to Rangers due to an injury scare.
As quoted by the Scottish Sun, Steve Clarke confirmed the midfielder was experiencing knee swelling and that he would not be fit to feature against Belgium on Monday night.
It’s a blow for the player, who would have been hoping to earn a third cap for his country, after sitting out Friday’s defeat to Russia.

It’s also a concern for Rangers, with the return of the Scottish Premiership and the start of the Europa League group stages on the horizon. The Gers face both Livingston and Feyenoord over the next ten days.
The news is going down better with some Bears than might be expected, though.
Alarm bells usually ring when a key player is struck down with an undefined injury.

Yet, some fans are dubious about the legitimacy of this knock , while others are just happy that he’s out of the Scotland setup altogether.
That tune will likely change if he misses any of the Gers’ important upcoming fixtures, but for now at least, there doesn’t seem to be much concern.
