Alfredo Morelos is set to be in action for Colombia on Friday night, as the South American nation take on Japan, in Yokohama.
It’s former Real Madrid manager, Carlos Quieroz’s first match in charge.

Therefore, perhaps it would be premature to assume Morelos will definitely get a game?
Naturally, it’s impossible to say for certain. However, by referring to him as the ‘future’ of Colombian football recently, the new coach showed just how highly he rates Morelos.
Should he get the nod, he could form part of an outstanding attacking trio.
Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and El Buffalo.
That’s not a scenario many would have thought likely when Rangers paid £1.08 million for the striker in the summer of 2017 (
Falcao is national team captain and one of the most celebrated strikers in European club football.

Rated at £10.8m by Transfermarkt, despite being 33-years-old, he’s likely to start up front.
He’s a domestic champion in Germany, Spain and Portugal and two-time Champions League winner.

That’s some company for the (farcically) £2.7m rated Morelos to be keeping.
All he has to do is now, is convince Quieroz in training that he’s more worthy of a starting place than Duvan Zapata and Luis Muriel.
It’s easier said than done, but we know Alfie loves a challenge.
