Jonne Lindblom, Alfredo Morelos’ agent, has slammed Scottish referee Bobby Madden on Twitter.

The 40-year-old took charge of a crunch Euro 2020 Group J Qualifier on Sunday evening between Finland and Italy.

It was a tight affair in Tampere, with the home crowd willing on Glen Kamara and co. to cause an upset and go joint top of the table.

The tie was in the balance at 1-1, until Madden awarded Italy a 78th-minute penalty.

Latching onto a cutback, Ciro Immobile fired at goal, only for his effort to be blocked by a Finnish defender. Without hesitation, Madden pointed to the spot and Jorginho slotted home what would prove to be the winner.

Rangers star Morelos’ agent rages at Madden

The Scottish referee’s decision incensed Lindblom, who heads up football agency World in Motion’s Scandinavian division and boasts Morelos as a client. El Bufalo plied his trade in Helsinki before heading to Rangers, hence the connection.

It was a major and controversial call from Madden, who failed to pick up on Callum McGregor’s shocking early challenge in last weekend’s Old Firm.

In this instance, the Finland defender, Sauli Väisänen, can could himself extremely unlucky.

Immobile struck his shot firmly and right at the defender, who did well to keep his arm tight to his body throughout the block.

Ultimately, it cost the hosts at least a share of the points and means Italy open up a six-point gap at the top, while Armenia are now within touching distance back in third.

Lindblom was clearly incensed by the decision. Perhaps, then, it’s just as well the transfer window has recently closed, as there’s no chance he can secure a move away from Scotland for his client, as a form of retribution…
