Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has previewed Northern Ireland’s crunch Euro 2020 qualifier against Germany, as captured by Sky Sports.
The 34-year-old will skipper his country for the fixture in Belfast on Monday evening.
It’s been a flawless campaign so far for the Green and White Army, who sit top of Group C after home and away wins against both Belarus and Estonia.
Things get a lot tougher from here on in, though. They play Germany and the Netherlands home and away and must pick up more points along the way.
Naturally, the best chance of doing so is at home, and Davis is confident of causing an upset.

“In many ways, the pressure is on Holland and Germany,” said Davis, as captured by Sky Sports. “Do I believe that we can get results against them? 100%, yes.”
“Would we beat them more than they would beat us if we played them regularly? No.
“But, hopefully, tomorrow night is one of those special nights at Windsor and we can look back to it in years to come.”
Verdict
Davis, Jordan Jones and former Gers player Kyle Lafferty have all contributed to what has been an excellent qualifying campaign to this point.
On paper, they will be up against it on Monday evening. Germany have slipped to a surprising 15th in the World Rankings and as a result, are just 14 ahead of Northern Ireland, who continue to punch above their weight under Michael O’Neill [FIFA.com].
A host of high class stars will feature for the opposition, but Davis has been involved in some great upsets in Belfast over the years.
He provided the assist for David Healy in the 1-0 win over England way back in 2005 and played the full 90 minutes a year later when an all-star Spain side was downed 3-2.
The midfielder may be a little slower across the park these days, but he still oozes class. Let’s hope he can inspire his international teammates to pull off another shock, before returning to Ibrox ready to get the Gers Scottish Premiership campaign back on track.
