Rangers star Kemar Roofe might not have started the World Cup Qualification journey with Jamaica but thus far the Ibrox striker has struggled to steer it back on course.
Kemar, 28, is of Jamaican descent and alongside a host of UK-based stars was called up for the country in the last international break in an attempt to embolden their chances of making Qatar 22.
But so far things have not quite gone to plan with Roofe yet to taste victory in a Jamaica shirt following the nation’s 0-0 World Cup Qualifying draw with Canada in Kingston.
This was Roofe’s second Jamaica start and his third appearance for the nation who’ve yet to record a victory in World Cup Qualification.
Jamaica sit bottom of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying pile with their World Cup dream slowly fading before their eyes.
That’s despite calling up the likes of Roofe – who was once a £7m signing for Belgian side Anderlecht – as well as Liam Moore, Daniel Johnson Andre Gray and Michail Antonio.
Rome – or Kingston – wasn’t built in a day though and we suspect it might take a little bit of time before all these names begin to gel in the squad but they’ll need to do so quickly.
The Reggae Boyz are without a win in five matches – drawing twice – and have eight matches to turn their campaign around, starting with a trip to Honduras on Thursday.

In CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying this final round-robin style league table will serve as the final route to qualification with the top three teams going to Qatar and the fourth place entering the intercontinental playoffs.
Rangers fans will be right behind Kemar Roofe as Jamaica look to make the tournament in the Middle East and they have already been showing their support to the striker.
Roofe took to Instagram to praise a Rangers supporter who surprised the forward whilst on an international away day last week.
