Rangers star Borna Barisic will “soon” join his Croatia teammates for international duty – and Gers fans couldn’t be happier about it.

The Ibrox club’s support adores the flying left-back and they are eager to see Borna strutting his stuff at Euro 2020 with the talented Balkans outfit.

However, despite much talk about Borna filling the left-back berth for the Croats, the full-back was left out of the nation’s 1-0 defeat to England in their Group D opener.

The Croatian full-back had aggravated a niggling back injury with Dinamo Zagreb‘s teenage left-back Joško Gvardiol taking Borna’s place against the Three Lions.

However, the official Twitter account of the Croatian national team provided a positive update regarding Barisic’s condition after Zlatko Dalic had the Daily Record claiming the player could miss the entire tournament.

According to the Croatian side, following an MRI scan, Borna should be able to rejoin his teammates in the coming days with Dejan Lovren taking part in a full session immediately.

This is good news for Borna who will be hoping to take part in either of Croatia’s next two group games against the Czech Republic (18/06/21) and Scotland (22/06/21) respectively.

Naturally the Rangers support have hijacked the official Twitter account of the Croatians as they cheer on their star left-back.

Rangers star Barisic is one of the biggest assets in the Ibrox squad and the club’s fans will be excited to see the player return to Ibrox action.

But should a niggling injury keep him out of the tournament, here’s a major reason why that might not exactly be a bad thing for Rangers.
