Rangers star Glen Kamara once again impressed at Euro 2020 as he took to the pitch against Russia for Finland – but Gers fans have been left frustrated by the BBC’s coverage of the midfielder.

Not that the national broadcaster had anything bad to say about the Finn’s performance; their grievances rather concern the mispronunciation of the ex-Arsenal kid’s name.

In a throwback to the infamous coverage of Glen by Clive Tyldesley on RangersTV, fans were driven nuts by commentators Robyn Cowen and Martin Keown referring to the Gers star as Glen Camera.

Keown did claim that he was impressed by Kamara’s performance in the 1-0 defeat to the Russians but that didn’t stop Gers fans from pulling up the commentary team during the coverage.

Kamara, 25, is the only Rangers player to be involved at the Euros thus far and has impressed so much that the likes of Watford have reportedly stepped up their interest in the player.

One of the most highly sought-after Gers talents if reports are to be believed, Ibrox supporters are bracing themselves for summer interest after his exploits on the continent.

Not that Kamara appears in any rush to leave Ibrox.

The player himself has consistently reiterated that his focus is firstly on the Euros, but then defending the title with Rangers next season.

“I’m a Rangers player until told otherwise,” said Kamara [Daily Record].

“I’m not focused on anything else, it’s been really good (at Rangers).

“We just won the league unbeaten and had a good European run, so I’m not really focused on anything else. My focus is on Finland right now.

“The club’s on the up and everyone is looking forward to next season. We want to go and retain that title.”

Premier League new boys Watford aren’t the only ones reportedly eyeing up a move for Glen next season either.

A leading London club with links to the talented ex-Dundee star are said to have one eye on what happens next with the player.
