Rangers fans have one major gripe with Scotland boss Steve Clarke after he announced his squad for upcoming World Cup Qualifiers – the absence of Scott Wright.
In a stumbling start to the season the perpetually underrated Ibrox attacker, 24, has come to the fore and put in a string of impressive performances for the Light Blues.
Signed in January from Aberdeen following the agreement of a pre-contract, Wright has shown even early in his Ibrox career exactly why the coaching staff have taken him to the club.
The player’s progress is clear and as he cements his place in the Rangers squad for this season, it’s had plenty asking the Scotland question.
Now proving an influential player for the Gers on the domestic and international stages it might just be too early for a call-up to the national team squad.
But there is little doubt that if the forward continues to impress then he’ll be in with a very good shout of making the national team in the future.
As things stand, however, some are unhappy that the tricky forward player hasn’t yet been rewarded for his progress and performances at club level.
The likes of James Forrest, Ryan Fraser and Ryan Christie have been called up instead, but Gers fans have made the case for popular forward Scott Wright.
Plenty believe that if anyone is to be sacrificed for the winger, then it’s Newcastle United winger Fraser who has contributed little over an injury plagued couple of seasons:

Whilst Gers fans would like to see Scott Wright in the squad there is also the small matter of a Covid-19 outbreak at Ibrox.
It’s not clear who has been affected but Clarke hinted that one Rangers first-teamer was involved as he made his squad announcement.
