Carlos Quieroz is a big fan of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, as shown by quotes in the Daily Record.
Praise hasn’t been in short supply for the 22-year-old striker this season.
So far, he has a whopping 28 goals in all competitions for the Gers.
A four goal salvo against Kilmarnock last month, was a particular highlight.

Displays like that one, have grabbed the attention of Quieroz, the new Colombia manager.
Formerly of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Iran, the celebrated coach indicated he was impressed with Morelos, by including him in his first squad.
Now, he’s spoken out about the Rangers talisman.
“It was a difficult call to name the squad because we have so many talented players”, said Quieroz, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I called up Alfredo Morelos because he is in very good form for Rangers as you can see with the number of goals he has scored.”
“I wanted to give Alfredo a chance. He’s young and is the future of football in Colombia.”
“I need to look to the future and Alfredo is young and represents that.”

This is sure to be music to the ears of El Buffalo. He only has one international cap to his name at the minute, earned in a friendly against Venezuela back in September.
Yet, with a change of manager, a change in standing appears to have arrived.
Not only is he involved, but he is a central part of the boss’s plans.
He’s already the main man at club level, but if he does well against Japan and South Korea later this month, he could become the poster boy for a nation.
