The Daily Mail reports that Alex McLeish will be sacked as Scotland manager on Thursday.
This news comes on the back of two extremely poor Euro 2020 Qualifying performances.
Firstly, the Scots suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Kazakhstan. Then, despite opening the scoring in the fourth minute, they were only able to beat the world’s lowest-ranked team, San Marino, 2-0.

The report claims that McLeish is struggling to deal with the pressure during his second stint at Scotland boss and will be relieved of his duties.
That could be good news for the prospects of certain Rangers players. No Gers were included in the most recent national team squad.
Who could benefit?
There are three players who could realistically be aided by a change of manager.
Ryan Jack
The 27-year-old midfielder has been impressive this season and is in the running for Rangers’ player of the year. He has just two caps to his name so far, but could help turn the tide. He’s reaching his peak as a player and thrives on big occasions.

Ross McCrorie
As Scotland U21 captain, McCrorie is surely in line for a senior call soon. His performance against Celtic at Ibrox earlier in the season, showed just how good he can be. If McLeish goes and the new manager is looking for bite in midfield, he’s your man.
Glenn Middleton
Middleton has dropped off the radar a little during the second half of the season. However, he’s got pace to burn and offers a different option off the bench. He’s very experienced at youth international level and if the new manager wanted a wildcard pick, the 19-year-old could benefit.
