Rangers have suffered a potential double injury blow after Ryan Kent hobbled out of the defeat to Lyon and the club muses over sending Alfredo Morelos for a scan.
The Ibrox pair are key first team players and regularly come up big for the club in the final third so any extended absence is sure to be felt by the side.
However, both have yet to fully set the heather alight this season and by dropping out of the team it may well give an opportunity for someone else to come in and impress.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard confirmed that Ryan Kent will be missing for at least four weeks after picking up a hamstring knock, effectively ruling the player out until October’s international break.
The Gers boss also explained that Colombian striker Morelos has felt a tweak in the hamstring area and the club will consider sending him for a scan ahead of the clash with Motherwell.
“We certainly have a problem with Ryan Kent,” Gerrard said [Rangers].
“He will be sent for a scan probably late afternoon or early evening but he is obviously going to be out for the weekend.
“If the doctor’s prediction is right he could miss a few weeks but we will know more this evening.
“Ryan had a rest in the international break, he trained well during the week. I don’t think he has been carrying any problem that got worse, this is just an isolated incident.
“You could see clearly that he pulled up with something, hopefully it is not as bad as it looked.
“The good thing is, if it is a hamstring injury, that might be three to four weeks which they normally are, we have an international break in that period to try and get him ready but I think he will definitely be missing for a few weeks if the doctor’s prediction is right.
“We also have Alfredo Morelos with a bit of a tight hamstring, not on Ryan Kent’s level but we might send him for a picture as well just to be sure on that one. So Alfredo is a doubt as well.”

With Rangers toiling to get their season started, both players haven’t quite hit the heights of the last campaign so this might hand more opportunities to several other players.
Scott Wright, Kemar Roofe and Fashion Sakala might now be able to stake a claim for a starting berth in the coming weeks and we look forward to seeing what they can bring to the side.
Meanwhile, Rangers fans are turning off in the aftermath of negative coverage as the online audience shrinks as a result.
