Rangers loanee, Eduardo Herrera, is back on the pitch.
The 30-year-old target man played 22 minutes as a substitute, during Necaxa’s 2-1 win over his former side, Santos Laguna, on Monday.
He had made a positive start to life at his latest adopted side. Contributions in the final third were plentiful during those initial weeks.
However, a muscle injury struck in early February, sidelining him for five league matches.
Does he have an Ibrox future?
Herrera was a costly acquisition for the Gers. During the brief Caixinha reign, in the summer of 2017, he set the club back an estimated £1.53 million (Transfermarkt).
Unfortunately, that sort of figure wasn’t justified by his performance levels.
In fact, he rarely did enough to feature in the starting XI.

Out of 19 SPL appearances, 17 were from the bench. Still, though, just the one goal was a pretty meagre return.
During his first few weeks at Necaxa he showed real signs of rediscovering his predatory instincts.
After all, this is a player with nine international caps and three goals for Mexico. There is definitely some pedigree there.
However, you get the feeling he would need to do something spectacular before the end of the season to get another opportunity at Rangers.
His and Carlos Pena’s signings are rightly or wrongly, synonymous with the failed Caixinha experiment.
He may have a year left on his Ibrox deal, but it would be a surprise to see him in a Rangers shirt under Steven Gerrard.
