During Tuesday morning’s press conference, as captured by RangersTV, Steven Gerrard gave an injury update ahead of Wednesday night’s clash against Dundee.
For this stage of the campaign, the Gers are doing reasonably well on the injury front.

Graham Dorrans and Jamie Murphy are long-term absentees with serious knee problems. Murphy has recently resumed ball work, but he won’t return until the end of the season.
Eros Grezda is another on the treatment table, yet, although he has returned to training, there was no suggestion from the manager that he is available for selection.

Two doubts for Dundee

The only two others who may be unavailable for this midweek clash are Andy Halliday and Matt Polster.

Halliday has done extremely well at left-back this season.
He scored in the Scottish Cup replay against Killie last week, and played 90 minutes at Hamilton, on Sunday.
Polster, the versatile American international, is yet to make his debut.

Gerrard cited tight groins as the reason both players may miss out at Ibrox.
“I had plans to involve Matt tomorrow, but he’s got a bit of a tight groin as well”, said Gerrard, as captured by RangersTV.
“So we’ve two tight groins which we need to assess and look at. But, they’re two big doubts where we’re at right now.”

The news means Rangers could be short of defensive cover on Wednesday evening.
However, the mainstays of the back four – Tavernier, Goldson, Worrall and Barisic should all be fit to play.
Dundee average less than a goal per game this season. Therefore, the Gers should be confident of securing another clean sheet.
