During Tuesday’s press conference, Steven Gerrard provided an injury update on two senior Rangers players.
Firstly, Connor Goldson was ruled out of Wednesday night’s Scottish Cup fixture against Cowdenbeath.
There was better news to follow, though.
The manager confirmed that Graham Dorrans had returned to first team training for the first time since knee surgery.
Dorrans arrived at Ibrox from Norwich in July 2017,
setting the club back £1.35 million according to Transfermarkt.
However, while he has shown glimpses of what he can offer, his time has been plagued by injuries.

He last featured for the Gers in the Scottish League Cup victory over Ayr, in September.
That is one of only three appearances to date, this campaign.
Yet, while Gerrard said he won’t be rushed, a return to first team football now looks near.
Rangers already have a good number of options in midfield.
Dorrans will add to those.
A veteran of 142 Premier League appearances across stints at West Brom and Norwich, he is an experienced performer with an eye for goal.
What’s more, as he has been out for so long, his return should almost have the effect of a new signing.
