Rangers fans buzzing following Ryan Jack Instagram tease

Rangers supporters have been left buzzing by an exciting Instagram story post by long-term injury absentee Ryan Jack.

Jack hasn’t featured for club or country this season after undergoing surgery during the summer. In fact, he hasn’t played since 21 February, when he had to be withdrawn before half-time in a Premiership fixture against Dundee United at Ibrox.

The 29-year-old was initially targeting a return to action in time for pre-season but he’s had to be extremely patient with his recovery.

In late September, Steven Gerrard said he expected Jack back on the training pitch ‘any day now’ and was hoping to be able to bring him back into the first-team group in a few weeks [Glasgow Times].

Then, much to the delight of supporters, the Scotland international posted an exciting image to his Instagram story on Friday.

He shared a picture of a fresh pair of Nike Tiempo boots and captioned it ‘soon’ along with hourglass and football emojis.

Here’s how a selection of fans responded to the content:

Once Jack is back fully fit, he will be a major asset for Rangers for however long is left in the campaign.

He’s experienced, great on the ball, aggressive and reads the game extremely well, making him a key player in both domestic and European competition.

The Gers look a little light in midfield without him, but perhaps in the weeks that follow the upcoming international break, he’ll be ready to pull on the famous shirt once again.

In other injury news, Rangers could receive a double boost ahead of Sunday’s clash with Hibernian.
