Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has provided an injury update ahead of his side’s Premiership clash with Hamilton Academical on Sunday [Official Rangers FC Twitter].
It’s a quick turnaround for the Gers, who were in Europa League action in Portugal on Thursday night.

Gerrard’s men threw away a two-goal advantage with 15 minutes to go in a 3-3 draw at the Estádio da Luz but speaking on Friday morning, the manager was adamant that there was no time to dwell on the result.
“The focus has to switch to Hamilton, we have to move on, win, loss or draw after each game,” he said, as quoted by the official Rangers Twitter account. “We were outstanding at times yesterday, some of the best play since I have been here but we need to learn from the mistakes we made and we will do so.”
It seems he’ll have close to a full squad to call upon at Ibrox this weekend, too, with Scott Arfield the only doubtful player following the match in Lisbon.
“Scott Arfield has a bit of a knock but we hope he his okay, otherwise we have a few bumps and bruises but that is all,” he added.

Arfield only played the final 20 minutes against Benfica and so would be very much in contention to start against Accies if injury wasn’t a factor.
Gerrard didn’t specify the nature of the midfielder’s knock but he clearly doesn’t believe it is anything too serious and with the Accies game the final fixture prior to the international break, the 32-year-old will soon be able to put his feet up.
