Kemar Roofe was substituted following a suspected injury in Jamaica’s 1-1 draw with El Salvador in their recent World Cup Qualifying tie.
No update has been provided yet whether the injury is serious or not, leaving Rangers sweating over his fitness ahead of next weekend’s Premier Sports Cup semi-final clash with Hibs.

Roofe was replaced by West Hams Michael Antonio on the 74th minute in the vital qualifying match.
Antonio marked his second appearance by opening the scoring only eight minutes after arriving onto the pitch. Although El Salvador equalised in the dying minutes to dent Jamaica’s hopes of featuring at only their second World Cup.
This suspected injury could be worrying for Rangers. Since he arrived at the club, he has been a key figure, especially in last season’s title-winning campaign.
Although the forward is eligible to represent England and Jamacia, due to his Jamaican heritage, he chose the Caribbean nation over his birthplace.

Since making his debut in September against Panama, he has already scored in an important tie against Honduras and looks like he could be a key figure for the “Reggae Boyz” heading towards the few remaining qualifiers left.
A long-term injury to Roofe would seriously dent Rangers title hopes. With Alfredo Morelos struggling for form recently, and Fashion Sakala still finding his feet, the club needs all the firepower we can get.
Meanwhile, Rangers fans have been expressing their delight at spotting a managerial candidate in London
