A Sky Sports report previewing Rangers’ Europa League tie against Feyenoord has suggested several of the opposition’s first-team stars could miss the game.
The Dutch side are unbeaten in the Eredivisie so far this season but have only won two of their opening five matches.
While they triumphed 3-2 over Den Haag at the weekend, it hasn’t been a totally convincing start under Jaap Stam, and Rangers will fancy their chances. Especially, if all of those named as fitness concerns do in fact miss out.

Feyenoord stars doubtful for Rangers tie
Steven Berghuis
The 27-year-old winger is a 15-cap active Dutch international, who provides a spark for the Rotterdam-based club. He didn’t feature at all on Sunday and it seems there are still question marks surrounding the star man.
Nicolai Jorgensen
6ft 4″ striker, Jorgensen, could also miss out. An experienced frontman who spent time with Bayer Leverkusen before winning multiple Danish Superliga’s with FC Copenhagen, Jorgensen would be a big miss. He has a commendable nine goals in 37 caps for Denmark.

Jens Toornstra
Toornstra, like Jorgensen, was used as a substitute against Den Haag, but his fitness remains in question for the Ibrox tie. The hard-working midfielder has been with Feyenoord since 2014, racking up close to 150 league appearances.
Jan-Arie van der Heijden
The 31-year-old centre-back didn’t feature in the squad at the weekend and may not return in time for this one. Meanwhile, fellow defender Sven Van Beek has been ruled out. Therefore, the partnership of Eric Botteghin and loanee Edgar Ie could continue at the back.

Verdict
While the Gers have injury problems of their own, with Ryan Kent, Jordan Jones and Jon Flanagan sidelined, they should take heart from the potential issues with their opposition.
Alfredo Morelos will fancy going up against Edgar Ie, in particular, as the recent arrival from Trabzonspor could be low on confidence after putting through his own net against Den Haag.
Jaap Stam has fitness concerns through the spine of his side and if big players miss out, it’s up to those in light blue to take advantage.
