The Colombian firebrand, 26, was snapped amongst the bears as the Gers got their Scottish Premiership campaign underway with a victory against the Lions.
The fan favourite garnered plenty of attention online and in the Livingston crowd as a result as fans eagerly anticipate an Alfredo Morelos return to the Rangers squad in the coming weeks.
Ahead of the trip to the Tony Macaroni, Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst raised hopes that Alfredo Morelos will also be back in the squad sooner rather than later.
The striker hasn’t been seen in a Rangers shirt since February and was a massive miss as the club’s Premiership season collapsed and the Gers fell at the Final Europa League hurdle.
But after the club’s Champions League squad was announced with Morelos named amongst the 23 players, van Bronckhorst confirmed this is because the striker could be available in the coming weeks.
Alfredo Morelos closing in on Rangers return
Whilst the first leg of the QR3 clash with Union Saint Gilloise might come too soon, the suggestion is Alfredo Morelos could make the return at Ibrox the week after next.
“He is already training in big parts of the session with us and he looks stronger every day when he joins us,” said van Bronckhorst [Rangers].
“Hopefully we can have him back really quickly in the squad to be involved.
“We named him in the squad for the first ties of the competition so Tuesday and Tuesday week and hopefully he will get involved really soon.”
The comments also come amid reports that Rangers striker Morelos is set to sign a new contract with the club.
The Rangers striker is entering the final year of his deal and the Ibrox side must sign Morelos up or risk losing him for nothing come the end of the season.
Meanwhile, a former Rangers striker is reportedly amongst the frontrunners being tipped for a sensational Premiership return.
