Rangers face German heavyweights in the Europa League playoff round next week, and their hopes of achieving a positive result have been boosted further as comments have emerged from left-back Raphael Guerreiro.
The Portuguese defender has agreed with comments made by captain Marco Reus in regard to the club’s defensive troubles this season, as they have conceded nine goals in their previous three matches.

The Europa league presents Dortmund’s biggest chance of winning a trophy this season and it will be an incredibly tough tie, although the Ibrox side can take solace in their defensive weakness.
Raphael Guerreiro says Dortmund have defensive issues that need to be fixed
“We do indeed have problems defending together,” said Guerrerio in a recent interview [Sport1].
“If we finally get our defensive problems under control constantly, then much more is possible for us.
“We are now in the Europa League and accept the competition. We are really keen on it and will approach it absolutely seriously.”
Giovanni van Bronckhorst and the rest of the squad will surely be happy to hear that a player from an opposition team is admitting they have problems, and the onus is for us to attack and pressurise them into making mistakes.
The opportunity is there, it will be the toughest match in Gio’s relatively short reign so far, but with a fit squad and nothing to lose, the Ibrox side can go and cause an upset.
Before the glamour tie lies a match against Annan Athletic in the Scottish Cup. Hopefully, the manager can rest a few first-team players and introduce the ones that need minutes.

A few youngsters might get involved again, similar to the previous round against Stirling Albion, where Alex Lowry had a debut to remember.
In other news, Leon Balogun has received a positive injury boost as a crucial three-month period looms for club and country.
