Rangers fans have reacted after Steven Gerrard’s starting lineup was confirmed by the club ahead of the Europa League fixture against Lech Poznan.

The two sides are going head-to-head in an 8pm kick-off behind closed doors at Ibrox.

The Gers carry strong form into the game, with a 2-0 win in Liege last Thursday night one of seven consecutive victories in all competitions.

By contrast, Lech Poznan have been struggling. The Polish side are currently tenth in the Ekstraklasa following another slip-up at the weekend, while they were beaten 4-2 at home by Benfica in their first Group D outing.

The Gers have almost a clean bill of health with only Nikola Katic out injured. Jermain Defoe, Jordan Jones and George Edmundson were also unavailable, though, after they failed to make the extended squad for the group stages.

In the end, Gerrard made five changes to the side that defeated Livingston 2-0 on Sunday.

Allan McGregor remains in goal but there are two alterations to the back four as Leon Balogun and Borna Barisic come in to replace Filip Helander and Calvin Bassey, while James Tavernier and Connor Goldson retain their spots.

Steven Davis stays put in midfield but Ryan Jack and Joe Aribo drop to the bench and have been replaced by Scott Arfield and Glen Kamara.

Kemar Roofe leads the line following his spectacular impact sub performance in Belgium and he will be supported by Ianis Hagi and Ryan Kent.

Will this team be strong enough to secure three points against Lech Poznan?
