Rangers trio James Tavernier, Calvin Bassey and Ryan Kent have been named in the Europa League Team of the Season.
The three Ibrox stars have been stand-out performers in the club’s legendary run to the final and will quite rightly take the plaudits for their inclusion.

James Tavernier finished top scorer in the competition with seven goals, becoming the first defender since Ronald Koeman in the mid-90s to top the goalscoring charts in European competition.
The club’s iconic captain, Tav just couldn’t quite clear the Final hurdle and like everyone at Rangers will be devastated to be heading home empty handed.
Calvin Bassey was a stalwart throughout the club’s run to the Final and his impressive performances will surely have some suitors interested this summer.
The Nigerian international was many people’s Man of the Match on the night and given his tender age of 22 it bodes well for the left-back-turned-centre-back’s future.
Ryan Kent has been taking ankles since the knockout stages begun and his presence in the squad is undoubtedly well deserved.
An immensely talented dribbler and creator who also puts the hard yards in defensively, the £7m ex-Liverpool star is a huge reason as to how Rangers got to the Final and he more than deserves a spot in the team.
Rangers trio named in Europa League Team of the Season
Only winners Eintracht Frankfurt have more players in the Europa League Team of the Season with Rafael Santos Borre, Filip Kostic, Martin Hinteregger and Kevin Trapp meaning they have four participants.
West Ham pair Matt Dawson and Declan Rice are also included, whilst RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer and Christopher Nkunku complete the XI.

It’s undoubtedly a testament to the success of this Rangers side this campaign and all three Rangers players deserve credit for making the Europa League Team of the Season.
Meanwhile, Juventus appeared to land a low blow on Rangers loanee Aaron Ramsey in the aftermath of the Final.
