Rangers travel to Easter Road on Friday night in search of three points.
Celtic easily dispatched Hearts on Wednesday night to stretch their lead at the top of the Premiership table to five points. They may have a game in hand, but the Gers simply can’t afford a slip-up at this stage.
Last season, Steven Gerrard’s side only managed to take two points from their two trips to face the Hibees. Daniel Candeias was the only Ger to score there during the campaign and he’s no longer with the club.

Given that Alfredo Morelos will miss this one through injury, perhaps it’s time for Gerrard to draft in a player with X factor.
Will Jordan Jones return to Rangers squad vs Hibernian?
Northern Ireland international, Jones, hasn’t made a matchday squad since the Old Firm defeat to Celtic in September.
He was sent off for a lunge on Moritz Bauer in the closing stages, a tackle which saw him sustain knee ligament damage.
However, he’s been back in training for close to a month now and is surely ready for a return. Gerrard initially predicted it would only take him ten days to be available for selection.
That period has already been served twice over, while Gary McAllister claimed that Jones looked ‘very sharp’ in training ahead of Sunday’s trip to Motherwell.
Given that there’ll be no El Bufalo on the pitch and that Ryan Kent hasn’t been overly effective in recent games, Jones would offer Rangers a point of difference from the bench.
The £675k-rated winger [Transfermarkt] doesn’t always bring end product, but on a ground where the Gers have struggled to make things happen in the past, his pace and trickery could prove to be vital weapons.
With injuries hitting the squad, the bench has looked a little uninspiring for recent fixtures.
At times we’ve seen an apparent reluctance from players like Sheyi Ojo and Brandon Barker to take on opposition full-backs, but one thing is for sure, if Jones gets a chance, he’ll back himself and look to make things happen.
