Rangers fans are now becoming more fearful that star man Alfredo Morelos could leave the club for free in the coming months.
The club have been locked in talks with Morelos’ representatives all season long over an extension to his contract which ends in six month’s time.

From January, clubs will be able to approach Morelos on a pre contract basis but there are question marks over who would actually take a punt on the 26-year-old.
There is no doubt that the Columbian has performed well below standards on and off the pitch this season.
A series of issues off the field have bled into his performances for the club and even put a brief suspension to contract talks, which have since resumed.
It is likely that Rangers could sell the club’s top European goal scorer in January to prevent him leaving for free in the summer but who are the names being linked with a move?
European Top Scorer could move for free this summer
Morelos has been linked to multiple clubs from Porto to Seville in the past and at one point there was even talk of a bid from China, whilst Ligue 1 Lille famously failed with a bid in 2020.
However, even though many will think interest in “El Bufalo” has cooled there is no doubt that his record is still attractive to potential suitors.
Fenerbahçe have always been big fans of Morelos as reported by the Daily Record and the murmurs have begun that they will test the waters with an approach in January.
The Turkish giants are keen on a new front man and have Rangers’ number 20 on their shortlist according to reports.
But whilst the exit talk ramps up, there is a belief that Morelos could be convinced to stay and show his worth under new manager Michael Beale.
There is certainly a lot of work to do if the Pedro Caixinha signing is to find his best again but a two year extension and a string of performances could help Rangers’ finances in the long run.
Rangers fans would certainly love to see Morelos back to his best, with the days of his name ringing around the ibrox stands sorely missed.
But there’s a creeping suggestion that the end of Morelos’ marriage with Rangers seems closer than the vows being renewed.
Whatever happens Alfredo Morelos will likely go down as one of the most exciting yet frustrating Rangers players in history, but would it be right for the striker to leave as things stand?
Meanwhile, Rangers have been linked to an African international as January approaches.
