Rangers boss Steven Gerrard seems to have a pretty strong relationship with newly-appointed Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe – and it could benefit a number of Gers fringe players this coming season.
Lowe has told how he’s asked about the possibility of Gerrard bringing a side down to Plymouth, although he’s admitted it is unlikely, after facing the Gers at Ibrox last year while Bury manager.

The Pilgrims boss also spoke about his friendship with Gerrard, and with the pair having that relationship it could well see some of Gerrard’s Rangers players heading for the West Country.
Last term, Lowe took Jamie Barjonas and Jordan Rossiter on loan as he looked to take advantage of his friendship with Gerrard so it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see similar this season.

It could be that someone like Robby McCrorie or Zak Rudden head south for 12 months as they look to force their way into the first-team at Ibrox.
Playing at League Two might be a little bit below some of the more senior players but it would provide a fantastic opportunity for players trying to step up from the Academy.

With a hectic shedule in the lower tiers of the Football League there would be plenty of opportunites to play and it would be under a manager that Gerrard clearly trusts.
