Despite a disappointing result at Pittodrie on Wednesday evening, Steven Gerrard is unlikely to make wholesale changes to his side for this weekend’s League Cup final against Celtic.
It’s too late in the day and the stakes are too high for major tinkering.
However, a change he should and surely will make, is to recall Glen Kamara to the starting lineup.

Rangers boss must bring back Kamara for Celtic final
The 24-year-old sat out of the Aberdeen league clash, and in the second half, in particular, his calming influence was missed.
The Finland international has had an impressive year since signing from Dundee, with one of his best displays coming in the Old Firm win at Ibrox back in May.
This season alone, he’s already racked up 29 appearances for club and country, and his strong displays have reportedly drawn attention from a number of Premier League clubs [Daily Mail]
He’s shown he can do it before, and there’s little doubt that when the big games come around, he forms part of Rangers’ best midfield trio, alongside Ryan Jack and Steven Davis.

One of the big keys to success this weekend will be dominating the middle of the park, and while Kamara doesn’t offer a great deal going forward, his return would give the Gers the best chance of getting that control.
This is a game for tried and tested performers and Kamara falls into that bracket much more than the likes of Joe Aribo.
He may have only cost Rangers £50k, but by having a stormer at Hampden, he could play a big part in seeing major silverware finally return to Ibrox.
