Zak Rudden is an 'Ally McCoist type' player - Ray McKinnon

Falkirk manager, Ray McKinnon has delivered more high praise to young Rangers striker, Zak Rudden.
The Bairns boss has had Rudden on loan in the Scottish Championship for the first half of the season, where he has certainly made his mark.
Last week, we told you of an incredible stat that shows how heavily reliant they are on his goals.

Earlier this week, though, the initially agreed loan spell came to an end. The teenager returned to Rangers, but McKinnon hasn’t given up hope on the player returning to help fight relegation.
Today, he said he believes the teenager has massive potential.
“He’s scored eight goals with a team that has been bottom all season. Imagine him playing for Rangers in a couple of years, with people setting up chances for him”, McKinnon
told the Scottish Sun.
“He is a goalscorer, he needs to be in that six-yard box, like an Ally McCoist type. He just sniffs out goals.”
High praise indeed from the ex-Dundee United boss.

Of course, eight goals in the Championship is a good start to Rudden’s fledgling career. Yet, it’s important he doesn’t get too far ahead of himself.
McCoist is the most prolific striker to ever don a Rangers jersey, so he has some way to go to earn more such comparisons.
For now, surely the best option is to head back to Falkirk.
He is crucial to their chances of survival, and another few months of first team action will do him the world of good.
