Former Rangers manager Mark Warburton, as quoted by the Daily Record, has had his say on Alfredo Morelos.
The Colombian is once again the hottest topic in Scottish football.

He was at his brilliant best in the first half against Aberdeen on Wednesday, before the other side to his game reared it’s head in the second.
Getting involved in an altercation could now lead to a two match ban for violent conduct.
“Morelos just looks angry all of the time on the pitch”, said Warburton,
“I just see a real talent and someone like Defoe will be a great mentor for him. Someone who has played at the highest level can be good for him.”

That seems a fair enough statement to make. Despite Morelos’ limited English, the 22-year-old will surely be learning everyday from his new strike partner who is 14 years his senior.
Warburton, then compared the man in question to a former Rangers striker, now plying his trade in the Championship, with Wigan Athletic.
“Joe Garner was a street fighter and Morelos is the same. These guys play the game in a certain way, but they score goals.”
“He is what he is. You need that edge in your team sometimes.”

Garner certainly did put himself about whilst at Rangers. However, it’s a bit of a stretch to compare the two player’s eye for a goal.
Morelos has 23 this season, more than many of Europe’s top strikers, while Garner has notched just 14 since leaving the club two seasons ago.
