Under-fire Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has been snapped in Ibrox training as he hopes to make Gers history and become the club’s first South American centurion against Brondby.

The Gers striker is one strike away from a legendary 100 and when the goal comes El Bufalo will etch himself further into Ibrox history.

Filmed at the club’s Rangers Training Centre ahead of the Europa League clash, Morelos will be hoping the moment comes against the Danish Champions in the must-win Europa League clash.

The striker has come in for some criticism for a spate of missed chances in the 1-1 draw with Hearts with Morelos yet to recapture his earlier form for the side.

Morelos remains the club’s main man up top but hasn’t quite had the spark we’re used to in front of goal this season.

Speaking ahead of the clash, manager Steven Gerrard claims it’s “quite obvious” the striker isn’t in top form and challenged him to score more goals.

“Five in 15 is not enough,” said Gerrard [Rangers].

“It’s not just him, we need to score more goals, all our strikers.

The chances we are creating I would expect the guy who has played the majority of the minutes as the number nine to have more than five in 15, so those are stats we need to improve on.

“If you look at previous number nines and Alfredo’s record in previous seasons it has been better than five in 15.

“If I have any advice for him it will be keep getting in the right places and he will absolutely smash 100 goals in no time. He is going to score many more goals so he shouldn’t overthink it.”

Rangers are preparing to face Brondby in the Europa League and Steven Gerrard also gave an injury update ahead of the clash.
