Rangers manager Michael Beale will be pleased with his side’s win against St. Johnstone, but the injury to Danilo will come as a bitter disappointment for the Gers.

Michael Beale’s Rangers lost 1-0 to Celtic at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby before the international break.

But, the Gers have bounced back with a win today.

Danilo put Rangers in the lead in the 16th minute.

And then on 79 minutes, Rabbi Matondo scored the second goal for the Gers.

While Rangers fans will be pleased with the win, there are now concerns over Danilo.

Rangers forward Danilo in hospital

The 24-year-old Brazilian forward scored the opening goal for Rangers with a brave header.

However, Danilo had to be substituted along with home captain Liam Gordon following a nasty head collision.

According to The Daily Record, Danilo did not have to use a stretcher, but he needed help getting off the pitch.

The 4th Official is reporting on Twitter that the Brazilian has been taken to the hospital.

The striker reportedly has a “suspected compound fracture”.

We have to wait for Rangers to release a statement and/or manager Beale to comment on the situation, but it does not look good for Danilo at all.

The striker has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season.

The Brazilian has scored two goals in those games.
