Lawrence, 28, was the stand-out summer singing for the Ibrox side but after picking up an injury the attacking midfielder hasn’t been seen since late August.
It’s been a monumental blow for the club and for ex-Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst, with the side badly missing the creative influence of Tom Lawrence and his ability to score goals.
Having already suffered a setback during his recovery from the last injury, with Tom Lawrence last being seen in the 4-0 win over Ross County, rumours began to spread online regarding yet another setback.
Rangers star Tom Lawrence has not suffered injury setback
With Rangers in the middle of a devastating injury crisis, Lawrence is amongst those highest on the list that fans want to return with January initially set as the realistic target.
The rumours had suggested Tom Lawrence was now set to be out until March but Rangers fan media Heart & Hand have contacted the club directly to get some clarity.
And Rangers have told them that contrary to reports, the Welsh international has not suffered an injury setback and is seemingly on track to return as planned for the club.
Rangers’ communication on the situation has also been confirmed by fellow Rangers fan media Four Lads Had a Dream, who took to social media to relay the claims.
This will come as a major boost to Rangers fans who were nervous about the situation regarding Tom Lawrence ahead of the Premiership resuming in a month.
Rangers have been decimated by injuries with Lawrence joined by Connor Goldson, Filip Helander, John Souttar, Ridvan Yilmaz, Ianis Hagi, Fashion Sakala, Kemar Roofe and Antonio Colak on the treatment table.
Tom Lawrence also recently broke his silence amid his own injury problems as he took to social media with a message to fans.
