According to reputable club insider Twitter account, Four Lads Had a Dream, a Rangers XI will take on Leicester City in a behind closed doors game at Ibrox this afternoon.
It’s suggested that a mixture of first team and development players will turn out for the Gers, with a return for Jordan Jones a possibility.
The Northern Irishman hasn’t featured since he injured himself in the process of hacking down Celtic’s Moritz Bauer in the Old Firm defeat at Ibrox on 1 September.

He’s been out in the cold for some time, but this could be a chance to show he’s worthy of consideration for selection following the international break.
Although there’s no specific information on other players who will be involved, the likes of Matt Polster, Greg Docherty and Jamie Murphy will all be looking for a runout, having been short of playing time this campaign.

In a well-received dig, The Four Lads Had a Dream account venture that this might not be the last time the Gers and the Foxes team up, suggesting that Brendan Rodgers and co. want to ‘strengthen ties with Scotland’s premier club.’
Andy King is currently on loan from the former Premier League champions and ironically, this could provide him with a chance to play at Ibrox for the first time since September.
An interesting development then, and hopefully a useful exercise for those on the fringes of Steven Gerrard’s squad.
There’s a big month and a half of action remaining before the winter break, and the boss needs everyone available and pushing in the right direction.
