Tomorrow will mark a big milestone in the renovations of Auchenhowie.
The new stand built to house fans for home fixtures is set to be unveiled. It forms part of a drive led by Steven Gerrard to upgrade player facilities to the highest standard possible.
The idea is to create more of an atmosphere around games taking place at the HTC, whether it’s the women’s team, the development XI or an age-group side.

Rangers vs Chelsea chosen for unveiling

Tomorrow’s fixture sees Premier League outfit Chelsea send an XI to Glasgow to take on the Gers development team.
However, it looks as though fans will not be able to turn up on the day. The unofficial Rangers Youth Updates Twitter account posted today to state it is a ticket only event, later stating a belief that there were none left for sale.

There’s a chance that as Chelsea are in town, Billy Gilmour could feature.

The teenager is one of the highest-rated talents to come out of the Gers academy for years and was sold to the London club for £500k as a 15-year-old in 2017 [TALKsport].
He’s featured prominently in Chelsea’s pre-season fixtures so far and could make a nostalgic journey back home to face his former club.
The game should offer a chance for Gers players not involved in Europa League action, the chance to get some minutes in the legs against strong opposition.
