Rangers have submitted a building warrant to Glasgow City Council in order to revamp the old “Counting Room” within Ibrox Stadium as part of a new engineering firm partnership.

The Gers have undergone a range of improvements at the stadium over the last few seasons and this latest move is believed to concern the club’s deal with Forrest Precision Engineering.

Rangers announced a new partnership with Forrest Precision Engineering in late July and confirmed then the Associate Partnership would include the renovation of a historic area within Ibrox Stadium.

“Rangers are today delighted to announce a new Associate Partnership with Forrest Precision Engineering,” read the Rangers statement.

“Following on from the Club 72 and Blue Sky Lounge Ibrox developments, The Forrest Precision Executive Lounge represents the further expansion of Ibrox’s VIP lounges, with the renovation of a currently under-utilised area within the historic Main Stand.”

Forrest Precision Engineering are a Glasgow based company servicing the UK with precision engineering parts for industrial use.

Rangers continue to sign a range of commercial partnerships under the guidance of commercial and marketing director James Bisgrove.

The immense progress Rangers have made in this regard will help re-establish the club at the elite level of European football and bring extra commercial revenue to Ibrox.

Fans will be excited to see the outcome of the new Forrest Precision Executive Lounge as investment continues in and around the stadium.

Speaking of partnerships, Rangers find themselves at loggerheads with the SPFL over a “conflict of interest” regarding Scottish football’s new title sponsor.
