Rangers star Ianis Hagi is set to feature in a new challenge on FIFA 22 with a special twist. Rather than arriving as a standalone squad building challenge, Hagi has arrived in the SBC servers as part of his dad, Gheorghe Hagi’s icon SBC.

This is an interesting challenge in the games Ultimate Team format and one that many Rangers fans of the series will be dying to attempt and have both father and son available for their squads.

Hagi’s card has been majorly updated for this challenge as previously he had a 74 rated card, but for this SBC, it has been upgraded to an 86 rated card.

With 88 pace, 87 dribbling, and 86 shooting, this is a huge boost and will surely entice players who want to have him available in the new challenge.

Unfortunately, due to an injury sustained against Stirling Albion in the Scottish Cup last month, Hagi will miss the rest of the season and FIFA will be the only place Rangers fans will be able to see him between now and May.

The 23-year-old has impressed for the Ibrox side since arriving initially on loan in January 2020, before signing a permanent deal that summer from Genk.

The Romanian international has scored some vital goals in his time at the club, who can forget his two-goal salvo against Braga in the Europa League comeback win and his winner against Hibs for his first-ever Rangers goal.

Although he maybe lacks consistency, his impressive performances and increased stature in the game have given FIFA the opportunity to showcase his talents in their new challenge.

Hopefully, Hagi recovers from his injury in time for next season, as the side has missed his creativity recently.

Meanwhile, future Rangers’ talent could be directly impacted by an ambitious Euro 2028 bid from Scotland, Wales, England, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.
