Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has overtaken once Atlético Madrid and Colombia player Radamel Falcao in the Europa League record scorer table, as he moved to 32 goals following his strike against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday evening.
Only two people sit above him in the record books, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, and former Celtic star Henrik Larsson, who sit on 34 and 40 goals respectively.

At the rate Morelos is scoring at, it surely won’t be long before his name sits proudly at the top of the list.

This record just shows how good the Colombian striker is and how far he can go in the game. With Rangers close to securing a quarter-final spot, then he still has the potential for another three matches to try and catch the top two in the charts.
Who knows, the club could go even further, especially with Morelos in the form he is currently in.
His goals have come against a wide range of opposition, from netting against the likes of Legia Warsaw and FC Midtjylland to scoring against European Heavyweights Borussia Dortmund and Porto.
Falcao will be the first person to congratulate Morelos on overtaking him and there is no one better for the 25-year-old to learn from than the Colombian talisman.
The chances of glory rest on the Ibrox side keeping Alfie for the foreseeable future. With his contract expiring in the summer of 2023, it remains a key priority for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his staff to provide plenty of reasons for him to stay.

Winning the league and securing automatic Champions League qualification would be a massive step in the right direction.
