Jordan Jones has spoken the about his development both on and off the pitch, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.
The 24-year-old winger signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers in January.

However, getting to that point hadn’t been easy. He admits to struggling both on and off the field early in his career and feels things could have been very different if he hadn’t moved to Kilmarnock following his 2016 release by Middlesbrough.
“Three years ago I didn’t know what I was doing,” he said, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times. “To go from that to finally reaching a club like this is a good turnaround. I think it’s a good story for a lot of young kids growing up. It was down to me.”
“If I’d stayed at home, I don’t know what way my life would have gone, to be honest. Coming up here and being away from all the mates I was hanging about with and my family, it was hard to take, but it did help me grow up.
“Three years on, I’ve made the right decision in coming to Scotland and maturing. This is what it has led to. I just want to kick on now.
“That’s the way I was when I was younger. To change from that to the way I am now is something to be proud of. It’s a good feeling.”

It’s certainly been some turnaround for Jones, particularly over the last year or so.
At one stage his hopes of making it in professional football looked dashed. Therefore, to even become a permanent fixture in the Killie side was a good achievement.
Things have shifted up a notch recently, though. He’s now a regular and important member of a Northern Ireland team gunning for a place at Euro 2020 while he’s also secured a dream move to a huge club like Rangers.

Given the manager’s options, he has his work cut out to earn a spot in the team. Yet, his story is all about overcoming adversity and it sounds as though he’s prepared to put in the graft to make it as a Ger.
