In statistics compiled by CIES Football Observatory, Rangers are shown to be one of the best-supported clubs in world football.
The table ranks top-flight clubs from around the world, based on their attendances between 2013 and 2018.
The Gers are included based on their stats since returning to the SPL. Therefore, only results from two completed seasons are included.
Impressively, though, Rangers slot in at number 18 on the list. That’s two behind their Old Firm rivals, but clearly, the capacity at Ibrox limits the club’s ability to move further up.

The ground is selling out on a regular basis, so the fans couldn’t be doing much more.
With an average of 49,054, the ground sees more fans through its gates than the likes of Liverpool (47,861), Paris Saint-Germain (45,912) and Juventus (38,778).
Borussia Dortmund tops the table with a whopping 80,230, while MLS outfit Atlanta United are perhaps a surprise inclusion at no.10 (51,547).

Featuring so far up this table is just another excellent reflection on the size and commitment of the club’s support base.
Hopefully, those fans will be rewarded next season.
A lot of the other teams included here are serial winners. That’s the kind of activity this club needs to get back to as soon as possible.
