Rangers loanee, Jak Alnwick, was in action for Scunthorpe at either end of the Bank Holiday weekend.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper was outstanding on Friday. He pulled off seven saves to keep visitors Blackpool at bay at Glanford Park. Yet, his teammates were unable to break the deadlock at the other end.

A 0-0 draw wasn’t ideal, but something to build on going into Monday.
However, things couldn’t have gone much worse on the trip to The Valley.
The Iron were hammered by a Charlton side who have now won four of their last five in their quest for promotion.
The hosts only registered six shots on target, but four of them sailed past Alnwick, denting his adopted side’s hopes of survival.
For large parts of the season, they’ve managed to hover slightly above the relegation zone.

Monday’s defeat saw them drop into the final spot, though. Their goal difference of -28 is also significantly worse than all the teams above them in the table.
One potential saving grace for Alnwick is that the final two fixtures are against fellow strugglers. Bradford City are already relegated, while Plymouth also have an extremely leaky defence. They’ve shipped 73 goals in the league.
Alnwick has a year left on his deal at Ibrox, but there’s little to suggest he a genuine future at the club.
If Scunthorpe are relegated to the fourth tier, though, the idea of a permanent deal there, may quickly lose its appeal.
