At the end of January, Andrew Dallas and his Rangers teammate, Robby McCrorie, moved to Championship side, Greenock Morton, on loan.
It was the natural next step for the highly-rated young striker.
He had scored goals for fun over the first half of the season. Mainly for Graeme Murty’s Rangers Reserves, but also at age-group level.
He impressed so much, that he even found himself on the bench for the first team on two occasions.
Yet, his first venture into senior football hasn’t really gone to plan so far.

He’s struggled to win a place in the side, with the majority of his appearances coming from the bench.
Furthermore, in ten outings to date, he’s yet to find the net.
It just shows how much of a step up it is to league football. After all, last month, during a free week for his adopted side, he returned to Rangers and scored a brace for the Reserves against Burnley.
It’s not just Dallas who’s currently struggling for Jonatan Johansson’s team at the minute, though.

The Ton have failed to win any of their last five matches and consequently, have been dragged into a relegation battle.
On 37 points, they are just two clear of ninth-placed Falkirk and three above bottom of the table Partick Thistle.
If ever there was a time for the youngster to find his feet in the senior game, it’s now.
