Rangers have been linked with a move for QPR striker Lyndon Dykes – despite the Scotland international planting a cheap shot on Michael Beale.
The 27-year-old striker sent a thinly-veiled dig via social media after Michael Beale switched Loftus Road for Ibrox in November under a cloud of controversy.

The new Rangers boss had just turned down an approach from Premier League Wolves by reiterating his commitment to the cause in West London before jumping ship when Ibrox came calling.
Despite the Rangers manager’s ties to Ibrox from during his tenure with Steven Gerrard, the response was hysteric and Lyndon Dykes got caught up in it.
The ex-Livingston striker and Australia-born Scotland star uploaded an image with song lyrics from Luciano’s “West Connect”.
These were: “Watch for the snakes, watch for the vermin. This weren’t a mistake, did it on purpose.”
QPR striker Lyndon Dykes linked to Rangers
Despite deleting the post, the damage was already done yet now Rangers are being linked with a move for Lyndon Dykes amid uncertainty on the striker position at Ibrox.
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is out of contract come the end of the season whilst Kemar Roofe has continued to prove an injury liability at Ibrox.
It’s led to Give Me Sport journalist Dean Jones claiming that Michael Beale has expressed an interest in taking Lyndon Dykes to Ibrox amid reports that QPR want to offer the player a new contract.
“Rangers are retaining their interest in QPR striker Lyndon Dykes as Beale is so keen on him,” claims Jones.
“But now I’m hearing that the Hoops are offering him a new deal to try to make sure that move does not happen.”
It’s not the first time Rangers have been linked with Lyndon Dykes either, with the Ibrox club reportedly suitors before the striker moved to the Rs from Livingston in 2020 [Daily Mail].
Meanwhile, one former Rangers star has officially announced his retirement from football.
