On a day dominated by the release of ‘Soy Alfredo’ across the Rangers social media platforms, a separate, but important release may have slipped under the radar.
Voting for the club’s Goal of the Season, is now open.

It’s a lengthy ‘shortlist’, too, if such a thing is possible.
Ten goals have been nominated, with the first coming as early as 15th September and the most recent, against Kilmarnock, less than a fortnight ago.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Alfredo Morelos dominates the nominations.
He’s scored a whopping 29 goals so far this season and four of those are in the running. The strikes in question came against Rapid Vienna, Hearts, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.

Elsewhere, only Scott Arfield has more than one entry. His cool finish against Villarreal and long-range effort against Hamilton, are in contention.

Kyle Lafferty’s finish which rounded off a sweeping move in the same Villarreal fixture is also included.

Ryan Kent, Andy Halliday, and Ryan Jack may have a say, though.
Kent and Halliday get the nod for efforts against Dundee, home and away respectively.
Finally, last but not least, is Ryan Jack’s Old Firm winner.

There are some excellent options to choose from here. Technically, Morelos’ effort against Aberdeen at Pittodrie, is arguably the best.
However, in terms of significance, it’s hard to look past Jack’s.
