Rangers winger Daniel Candeias has tweeted his thanks to the club’s supporters, at the end of his second season as a Ger.
The Portuguese joined on an initial two-year deal from Benfica in 2017 [Sky Sports] and quickly became a fan favourite.

His excellent work ethic and ability to produce moments of quality has seen him become a regular at Ibrox. First under Pedro Caixinha, then Graeme Murty and now, with Steven Gerrard.
This season, he was one of only a handful of players to reach 50 appearances.
In total, he mustered 52 outings. 28 of those came in the league, from which he managed five goals and five assists [
Recently, he’s come in for some criticism, with his end product being called into question. With relatively underwhelming stats like those, it’s understandable.

Rangers might need more from the right flank if they are to win the title next season. However, he should at least have a role to play as a squad player in 2019/20.
For now, it’s time to rest after what must have been a draining season. Due to involvement in the Europa League, the Gers haven’t gone more than a couple of weeks between games since early July and Candeias has been a near ever-present throughout.
Therefore, plenty of fans showed their appreciation for the Portuguese when he tweeted his thanks to ‘the best supporters.’
