Scott Arfield has been a revelation over the last week.
He was already one of the signings of the season from Steven Gerrard.

Picking him up on a free from Burnley was an astute piece of business. After all, he is an international captain and an experienced Premier League operator with plenty of miles left in the tank.
It took him a short while to settle, but there have been standout performances throughout the season.
Villarreal away in the Europa League and a combative display in midfield against Celtic in December come to mind.

However, a recent tactical switch from the manager has brought things up a notch. The 30-year-old has scored four goals in his last two outings for the Gers. That compares to six in 23 matches before the change.

Naturally, the traveling Gers fans loved Arfield’s performance atΒ Fir Park.
Therefore, when he shared an image on Monday afternoon of him holding the match ball aloft, it brought plenty of expressions of support.
