On Thursday afternoon, it emerged that Eros Grezda would not be attending Rangers’ imminent pre-season training camp in Portugal.
The winger’s agent told Press Association Sport, via the Scottish Sun: “He is still with Rangers but at the moment, because he was with the national squad and there was some problems last week, he will not be in the squad.”

Grezda also recently withdrew from international duty, citing injury.

Very little has gone to plan for the 24-year-old this season.
Steven Gerrard billed him as a ‘very dangerous player’ after he signed a four-year deal back in August.
However, he made just 17 appearances in all competitions [Transfermarkt].
A mixture of injury and poor form ensured that he barely featured at all after the winter break, and he finished the season with a miserable tally of two goals and one assist. All three of those contributions came in the same half of football against Motherwell in November.

Considering the club forked out a reported £2 million for Grezda [Scottish Sun], plenty of fans aren’t happy with his efforts.
It seems that for some, this latest news is the icing on the cake. The Gers are now well stocked in wide areas and so, many are calling for him to be sold on. As an international with three years remaining on his contract, there’s a chance he could still command a significant fee.
